As a coach

Ajit’s passion for Badminton remains undiminished leading his immediate switch from a player to coach after a rewarding playing career. Ajit founded a Badminton school with his doubles partner for India, Jose George, “Ajit Jose School of Badminton” in Royal Padmanabha Courts, Trivandrum, Kerala, honing young aspirants to rise to the top of Indian and World Badminton.

After creating a bunch of excellent National and International age group players who went on to represent the country in Juniors; Shankar, Shyam, Aadya, Aryan and creating a culture of badminton excellence in Trivandrum through AJSB along with Jose and with the patronage of a keen badminton lover and player himself Prince Aditya Varman of the Travancore Family, an embodiment of humility, Ajit stepped on to the next stage of his coaching dreams.

He founded “Ajit Wijetilekk School of Badminton (AWSB)” with his dear school friend and an expert technologist Praveen Revankar with the intent of redefining high performance and aiming at the holistic development of the players from grass roots to world level through his philosophy of Correct Badminton christened “AWSB Edu-Train”.

AWSB is currently functional at KREEDA Sports Center, VVS and DC Centres in Bangalore. The vision of AWSB is to create International and National badminton champions, and in the process creating better human beings out of the young budding talents who become part of the AWSB family.

The story of the 4 year old boy from the small town of Kannur still continues; the story of how he dared to dream of representing India in the World stage and fulfilled it by sheer persistence, undying fighting spirit, unconditional love and passion for his beloved sport without ever giving up in the face of soul-crushing even fatal obstacles.

He now dreams and awaits young passionate minds to guide them to the heights of Indian and World Sport!
